Drug Formulation

Half liang of groundsel, half liang of (various) insects, half liang of barbed thorns, half liang of exposed wasp nests, half liang of snake shed skin, half liang of millet,half liang of foxtail millet, half liang of hemp seeds, half liang of black beans, half liang of adzuki beans, half liang of tangled hair, half liang of broken ox-yoke, half liang of used arrows, half liang of red silk cloth, half liang of silkworm paper, and half liang of morning flowers (which grow like small mushrooms on manure heaps or rotten wood after prolonged rain in autumn or summer; collect them promptly).

Processing

Finely chop the ingredients, wrap them in silkworm paper, soak in water for a long time, strain, and let dry. On clean ground, burn them over charcoal until the smoke subsides. Transfer to a new bowl, cover the bowl, and let cool. Grind finely into a powder.

Instructions for Use

If the lesion has already formed a head with pus, apply the powder as a poultice; if it has not yet formed a head, mix 1 qian with wine and take it orally.
