Drug Formulation

Chuanwu 1 liang, Fuzi 1 liang, Nansheng 2 liang, Muxiang 5 qian (chopped separately; added just before use).

Processing

Except for Mu Xiang, which should not be exposed to fire, take half of each of the other three ingredients, remove the skin, and use them raw; take the other half, roast them until cooked, then mix them together and coarsely crush them.

Instructions for Use

Take 4 qian per dose, add 7 jujubes, 10 slices of fresh ginger, and 1 zhan of water; decoct until reduced to 7 fen. Take 2–3 consecutive doses on the day before the expected onset of malaria and on the morning of the expected onset.
