Drug Formulation

4 liang of Agarwood, 4 liang of Whole Angelica sinensis, 1 liang of Sichuan Pangolin Scale, 5 qian of Dragon’s Blood, 1 liang of Frankincense, 1 liang of Myrrh, 1 red rooster.

Processing

Remove the meat from the rooster and use only the bones; deep-fry them in 2 jin of sesame oil for 5 minutes. Next, add agarwood, angelica root, and Sichuan armadillo shell to the oil and fry for another 5 minutes. Then add dragon’s blood, frankincense, and myrrh to the oil; fry until blackened, then remove. Finally, add 1 jin of cinnabar to thicken the ointment. Form into tablets weighing 1 liang each for large ones and 5 qian each for small ones.
