Drug Formulation

Realgar (or substitute with orpiment) 9g, sulfur 9g, calcined alum 4g, honey-processed alum 6–15g, red arsenic 2g, mercury oxide 3g, Cnidium monnieri 6g, sea pumice 4g.

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder.

Instructions for Use

Apply externally in 5–7 doses. Before use, mix the powder with kerosene until smooth. Dip a duck feather into the mixture and apply it to the affected area. First, apply a hot compress to the affected area; then, rub the skin with aged ginger until it turns red and you feel a sensation of heat, opening the pores. Afterward, apply the medication as described above. Wash off with hot water after 6 hours.

Note

Do not use untreated water; do not ingest.
