Drug Formulation

Scutellaria baicalensis (Huangqin) half liang, Coptis chinensis (Huanglian) half liang, Panax ginseng (Ren Shen) 3 qian, Citrus reticulata peel (Juhong, white pith removed) 2 qian, Scrophularia ningpoensis (Yuanshen) 2 qian, raw Glycyrrhiza uralensis (Gancao) 2 qian, Forsythia suspensa (Lianqiao) 1 qian, Coix lacryma-jobi (Shuzhanzi) 1 qian, Isatis indigotica root (Banlanggen) 1 qian, Trichoderma hystrix (Mabo) 1 qian, white silkworm pupae (fried) (Bai Jiangcan) 7 fen, Cimicifuga heracleifolia (Shengma) 7 fen, Bupleurum chinense (Chaihu) 2 qian, Platycodon grandiflorus (Jiegeng) 2 qian.

Instructions for Use

Mix half the ingredients with decoction and take it frequently; mix the other half with honey to form pills, which should be held in the mouth until dissolved. Alternatively, add Fangfeng, Bohe, Chuanxiong, and Danggui root; coarsely crush them to the size of sesame or mung beans. Take 5 qian per dose; boil with 2 zhan of water until reduced to 1 zhan, strain out the residue, and drink while still slightly warm after meals, taking it frequently.
