Drug Formulation

2 liang of Guangmu Xiang (preferably the green variety), 6 whole scorpions (roasted), 5 fox kidneys (cleaned of flesh and sinews, fried in butter), 10 dog kidneys (cleaned of flesh and sinews, fried in butter), 6 liang of Dodder Seed (soaked in wine; take 3 liang of the fine powder from the heads), 3 liang of Fennel Seed (stir-fried with salt),2 liang of White Poria (white variety preferred), 5 liang of Broken Paper Bark (soaked in wine; use 2 liang of the resulting powder), 1 liang of Cornelian Cherry (core removed), 1 liang 2 qian of Sichuan Tortoise Shell (fried in ghee), 6 liang of Walnut Kernels (washed in hot water, yellow skin removed, ground separately).

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Combine the refined white sand honey, walnut paste, and the aforementioned herbs in a mortar; pound with a pestle for over a thousand strokes. Press the mixture with a dry object, then shape into pills the size of a paulownia seed.

Instructions for Use

Take 3 pills per dose on an empty stomach, washed down with warm wine.
