Drug Formulation

8 qian of Scutellaria baicalensis (washed with wine; half stir-fried, half used raw), 5 qian of Gentiana scabra (washed with wine; each batch stir-fried 4 times), 5 qian of Trichosanthes kirilowii root (coarsely chopped, washed with wine), 5 qian of Phellodendron amurense (processed with wine),Anemarrhena rhizome (wine-processed) 5 qian, Platycodon root 5 qian, Kelp 5 qian, Bupleurum root 4 qian, Fried licorice root 3 qian, Beijing-grown Curcuma zedoaria (wine-washed) 3 qian, Guangdong-grown Curcuma zedoaria (wine-washed, stir-fried) 3 qian, Forsythia fruit 3 qian, Pueraria root 2 qian, White peony root 2 qian, Angelica root tips 2 qian, Coptis rhizome 2 qian, Cimicifuga root 6 fen.

Instructions for Use

Coarsely crush the ingredients. For each dose, take 6 qian of the mixture and 2 zhan and 8 fen of water. Soak for more than half a day, then decoct until reduced to 1 zhan. Strain out the residue and take it hot after a meal. While lying down, elevate your feet and lower your head. Take one mouthful at a time and swallow it 10 times. After finishing the dose, lie down as usual, as the medicine is intended to remain in the area above the diaphragm.Separately, grind half the dosage into a fine powder, mix with refined honey to form pills the size of mung beans, and take slightly more than 100 pills per dose, swallowing them with a mouthful of the decoction.
