Drug Formulation

Tianxiong (roasted until cracked, with skin and pith removed) 1 liang, Dendrobium (roots removed) 1 liang,Cistanche (soaked in wine, wrinkled skin removed, sliced, and roasted) 1 liang, Achyranthes (soaked in wine, sliced, and roasted) 1 liang, Angelica pubescens (root tip removed) 1 liang, Morinda officinalis (core removed) 1 liang, Cinnamon (coarse bark removed) 2.5 liang, Psoralea corylifolia (roasted) 2.5 liang, Raw Rehmannia glutinosa (roasted) 3.5 liang.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Finely chop 3 liang of pig’s navel fat; soak it in 2 sheng of wine for two nights, remove the tendons and membranes, grind to extract the flesh, strain through a cloth to remove the dregs, and simmer over low-to-medium heat to form a paste. Mix this paste with the powdered herbs and pound into pills the size of a Paulownia seed.

Instructions for Use

Take 20 pills at a time on an empty stomach, washed down with warm wine or salted broth; if the mixture is too thick, add some cooked honey.
