Drug Formulation

3 liang of sugar beet, 2 liang of raw Rehmannia root, 2 liang of lard, 1 liang of Euphorbia (roasted), half a liang of Angelica sinensis (sliced and baked), half a liang of Dipsacus asper, half a liang of Angelica dahurica, half a liang of Acanthopanax senticosus, half a liang of Ligusticum chuanxiong, half a liang of Saposhnikovia divaricata (with branches removed), 3 fen of licorice (roasted),3 fen of Paeonia lactiflora, 1 fen of Sichuan pepper (seeds and closed pods removed, stir-fried until sweating), 1 fen of Asarum (stems and leaves removed), 1 fen of Rheum palmatum (chopped, stir-fried), 1 fen of Eucommia ulmoides (coarse bark removed, stir-fried with butter), 1 fen of Astragalus membranaceus (stir-fried, chopped), and 1 fen of Scutellaria baicalensis (black core removed).

Processing

Except for the lard, coarsely chop all the ingredients. First, heat the lard until it boils, then add the chopped herbs. Simmer until the Angelica dahurica turns reddish, strain out the residue, and store in a porcelain container.

Instructions for Use

Apply to the affected area 3–5 times daily.
