Drug Formulation

Tiannanxing 1 liang (roasted), black snake 1 liang (soaked in wine overnight, skin and bones removed, baked dry and weighed), cinnabar 1 fen (ground separately), whole scorpion 2 qian (de-toxified),Pinellia tuber 2 liang (soaked in boiling water 7 times), realgar 1.5 qian (ground separately), centipede half a body (head and legs removed, roasted), white silkworm pupae 1.5 liang (stir-fried to remove silk threads and mouthparts), white aconite root half a liang (processed), musk 2 fen (ground separately), white alum 1 liang,soapberry 4 liang (crushed, mixed with half a sheng of water, squeezed to extract the juice and remove the residue, then simmered with white alum until dry, ground).

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder; mix with a paste made from wheat flour and fresh ginger juice to form pills the size of a Paulownia seed.
