Drug Formulation

Alum 1 liang, calcium carbonate 3 qian, borax 3 qian (grind each into a fine powder; place a silver jar over hot coals; first add a layer of alum to the bottom, then a layer of calcium carbonate, followed by a layer of alum, a layer of borax, and another layer of alum; repeat until all ingredients are layered.Calcine until it resembles a steamed bun, then remove), 1 qian of raw Polygonum aviculare pollen, 1 qian of licorice, 5 fen of dried silkworm, 5 fen of chicken gizzard lining (roasted to preserve its properties), 2 qian of peppermint leaves, 5 fen of soapwort (roasted), and 5 fen of borneol.
